Five awesome ways to win my heart

I honestly don't think it's that hard to win someone's heart.  Sure, expensive things might be important to some people but the older I get, the more I've realized how important time, love, and attention are to me.

My list is quite simple and very doable.  Here are my five ways to win my heart:

1. Send me random text messages, messages on FB, e-mail, or phone call to say that you're thinking about me.
2. Compliment me on something I did well.
3. Encourage me to do my best and to not  forget about the main reason for my goals.
4. Show me off to your friends and family.
5. Remember one or two special small details of my stories so that you can surprise me with them. It shows that you're paying attention.

I think that's it.

Thanks for reading,
Mayra :)

Unanswered Prayers: Explained

When I was younger and naive, I used to pray a lot for the things I wanted and needed in my life.  A few years ago, I met a guy from an online dating site who I was certain he was the one for me. Over the years, I never truly understood why God didn't answer my prayers -- until now. It was very apparent to me that as this guy and I both grew up and live completely different lives; I noticed an overarching theme in his life where in the end, he has no inner peace in his life.  The drama in his life is still there as it was when I first met him many years ago but appear to be present in different ways.
